CRANFORD - Union County College offers the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) program for students seeking entry-level positions as network administrators, network designers, network technicians or support engineers. The CCNA program began on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, teaching students how to plan, build and maintain local, national and global networks. The course consists of four 70-hour modules covering Network Introduction, Routing and Switching Essentials, Scaling Networks and Connecting Networks. While performing the modules, pupils will study with a classroom instructor and have access to professional content online. They will practically learn with the help of Cisco Packet Tracer, network configuration simulation tools, and participate in projects and presentations in the classroom. Participants interested in this program must have basic knowledge of computer and networking, eighth grade reading, writing and mathematics, and the desire to learn.
